Never Alone

Erica and I were out for a sunset walk one evening when we came across this bench. I got an idea and asked her to sit down and pretend she was missing me while I was away overseas for a few months. She played along, and this is the shot I got.

On the surface it’s a woman sitting alone at sunset. But look closer and there’s more going on — she’s not really alone at all. Somewhere out there, someone’s thinking about her. Or maybe it’s less about a person and more about something bigger keeping watch. I’ll let you decide.

Either way, she was never really alone. That’s the whole idea.
