It was a dark and stormy afternoon when I stepped out side to go for a walk. Erica stayed at home to cook pumpkin soup for a late lunch. Off I went to the nearby Elwood beach thinking I was a bit silly to be taking my best camera out into the cold rain. But I was pleased when I got to the waters edge. The clouds were so dramatic and the sunbeams were pushing through. In the distance was the city of Melbourne dressed in her usual weather. What a delightful sight. There was hardly anyone else around. I walked up to the top of the nearby hill and started clicking away. The wind was ripping at my hat and sneaking in my coat so I knew I could not stay for long. It was not the weather the finally got me turning for home, it was the thought of Erica’s hot pumpkin soup.
