I woke up on this beach, and my spaceship home was gone! It was not “hiding behind a cloud” just gone – gone, gone. I checked my watch, and it was past the liftoff time. I must have dozed off and woke up a few minutes after they left. Now I’m just standing here looking at this big sky, clouds stacked up in rows like they’re watching what just happen. Down on the rocks there are two humans fishing, completely unaware of my presence.
Evidently, they were unaware of the lift off from the launch pad.
I don’t understand these Earth people very well yet, but they seem most unaware. Unfortunately, I’m now stuck here indefinitely.
