Never Alone

Never Alone

As I walked along the waterfront that evening, the sun was slowly sinking toward the horizon and the sky was beginning to glow with the warm colors that photographers dream about.

Ahead of me, a lone figure sat quietly on a bench facing the sea. There was nothing dramatic happening. No grand event. Just a person, a sunset, and a moment of stillness.

What caught my attention was the feeling of the scene. Although the figure sat alone, the image did not feel lonely. The ocean, the sky, the fading light, and the endless horizon seemed to create a sense of connection with something larger than ourselves.

I took several photographs, but this was the one that stayed with me. It reminded me that solitude and loneliness are not always the same thing. Sometimes the quietest moments are the ones in which we feel most connected to the world around us.

Perhaps that is why the title came so easily.

Never Alone.
