About Sandy Abbott
I like to paint and photograph the quiet moods of the beach. I grew up on the shores of Hawaii and now live in Clearwater, Florida. I’ve always loved the way wind drifts across water, how clouds soften the horizon, and how waves seem to play games on their way to the sand.
My goal is to capture the elusive vitality of nature — that crackling feeling of “Life” that permeates the environment. Whether through photography, painting, or digital art, I want my work to radiate beauty and consciousness.

Art That’s Accessible
Original paintings are expensive and one-of-a-kind. Photos, on the other hand, can be shared widely. That’s why I offer high-quality canvas prints of my paintings and photographs — beautiful, affordable, and ready to hang.
Lately, I’ve been exploring “digital paintings” created with AI prompts. I’m amazed by the results. Sometimes it’s impossible to tell whether an image was made with a camera, a brush, or a computer. To keep things clear, I’ve organized my work into series based on their source.

I hope you enjoy these images as much as I do. I guess I’m one of my biggest fans — and one fan is a good start, don’t you think?

Art Philosophy
To me, art isn’t just about capturing something beautiful. It’s about creating something that IS beautiful. The painting or photograph becomes the thing of beauty — not just it’s subject.
What matters most is the effect the artwork has on the viewer. I’m especially interested in how art can increase awareness of this elusive thing called “Consciousness.” Needless to say, that’s hard to talk about… so I’ll stop talking now.

Influences and Inspiration
My favorite artist is Paul Gauguin. Maybe it’s because he loved the tropics, but I see his work as an open window into the “Life” I’m trying to express.

A few years ago, I saw a traveling Van Gogh exhibition in Melbourne. Standing in front of a real Van Gogh was stunning — the painting felt alive. That’s the quality I aim for in my prints. They may not be originals, but they come pretty close.
